2012

This Prison Where I Live [updated version]

Line Producer / Camera Operator
75 min updated version of Rex Bloomstein’s feature documentary. We decided to re-edit the end of the film because of the great news of Zarganar’s release from jail in late 2011. We all met in London in 2012. This encounter, which was filmed by Justin Temple, then became the basis of the new version.


2010

This Prison Where I Live

90/52 min cinema / broadcast documentary about Burmese comedian and prisoner of conscience, Zarganar, who was jailed for 35 years by the military dictatorship in 2008. This film was shown at over 70 film festivals and cinema screenings in 30 different countries and was broadcast by ZDF in Germany.


2009

Enemies of the People

Associate Producer
90 min cinema / broadcast documentary by Rob Lemkin and Thet Sambath which documents the previously unheard testimonies of those who perpetrated the Killing Fields massacres in Cambodia, from the foot-soldiers who slit throats to the Khmer Rouge’s ideological leader, Nuon Chea, aka Brother Number Two. This film screened at over 50 film festivals around the world, winning multiple awards, including the World Jury Special Prize at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and the 2012 EMMY for Best Investigative Documentary. It was also shortlisted for the 2011 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature and has been broadcast all over the world. Made by Old Street Films.


2007

An Independent Mind

90 min cinema / broadcast documentary directed by Rex Bloomstein about eight individuals fighting for their right to free expression in different parts of the world. Shot in 14 different countries, this film was shown at over 30 festival and theatrical screenings around the world, winning the Human Rights Award at the Biografilm festival, Bologna, in 2008. It was shown by More4 in the UK and by several other broadcasters internationally.

Beyond Stereotypes

49 min educational documentary about an EU-funded, Warwick University-managed project in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. Single operator shooting/directing in Croatia, Georgia and Abkhazia.
